Beyond the
Italian Market
Our most popular tour! Think of it as a walking lunch, during which you'll explore South Philly and the Italian Market with one of our knowledgeable guides (who also happen to be restaurant insiders!)

ITINERARY
Over three hours and six stops, we'll eat our way through South Philly and into the Italian Market.
We'll meet at Columbus Square Park, a community gathering place in South Philly. From there, we'll head to a neighborhood bakery for a sweet treat. After we've enjoyed our first bite, we'll make our way to one of the best food streets in Philly, discussing cheesesteaks, neighborhood gossip, and food along the way.
Our next stop is a second-generation, family-owned Vietnamese bakery for a bánh mì, then over to a beloved Mexican restaurant where we'll have the chance to sit and relax for a few minutes over tacos and agua fresca.
The second half of the tour will be spent exploring the Italian Market. We'll share little-known history, offer recommendations, and take you to a new-school Jewish appetizing store and an old-school Italian bakery for the best cannoli in the city.
We'll finish with a glass of wine and hand out our Cheat Sheet, our niche and opinionated guide to Philly's best restaurants.

We recommend arriving to the starting point by Uber, public transportation, or other means. Parking in South Philly is limited and can be frustrating.
